image“Using photography, video and sculpture I make work that has explored themes relating to domestic space and the domestication of the female body.

I have explored these ideas through the construction of images within this environment that are part autobiographical and part fantasy creating narratives that play with notions of confinement, boredom and the entrapment of gender roles.

In more recent work I have incorporated sculptural elements made from cheap everyday materials that drape, hang or enclose the body.  In these new works I am interested in more formal concerns paring away the visual clutter and creating a sparseness suggesting diagrams or drawings.”
